The EC150 digital piano use modern digital technology to produce a rich and natural sound. By digitally recording 'samples' from the finest acoustic pianos, it faithfully reproduce an acoustic piano's complex blend of harmonics, resonant sounds and reflected echoes.
To further enhance and reproduce the full dynamics of a real piano tone, Korg has developed powerful sound reproduction systems that add deep physical impact to the piano sound. This amplification and speaker system have been carefully designed to work in harmony with the wood finished cabint features, to ensure that each time you strike a key, even the subtle nuances have a natural audible presence.
Not content with having just a great piano sound, the EC150 go further to widen your musical horizons by providing a selection of other sounds such as harpsichord, choir, strings, electric piano, vibraphone, organ and more. The ambience of all these sounds can even be refined with digital effects, which include reverb and chorus.

Traditional Piano Feel

The Korg EC150 pianos not only sound like traditional pianos, it also feel and play like traditional pianos, thanks to the velocity-sensitive, 88-note weighted hammer-action keyboard with the solid, responsive feel of a superior acoustic grand. It also offer a selection of three 'touch' or 'velocity' curves, so you can customise the touch to your preference or playing styles. The EC150 include three pedals for the Damper, Sostenuto and Soft functions.

Modern Features

The modern technology used in the EC150 piano have many practical advantages. Now you can practice without disturbing anyone, because two sets of headphones can be connected, ideal for teacher to listen in. Flexible tuning options include instant transposing and fine tuning. Aficionados of historical temperaments will appreciate the additional temperament selections including the historical Kirnberger and Werckmeister scales. The metronome has volume control and the option of accenting the first beat of the bar to assist with rhythm practice.
For the hi-tech player, the EC150 offer a connection to other MIDI equipment via a standard MIDI interface. If you have other electronic keyboards or sound modules, you can monitor their sound through the internal speakers by making the necessary connections to the auxiliary input sockets.
